Mr. Yu has dedicated over 25 years as a registered architect
celebrating a wide experience in the administration of financial and personnel
resources for the planning, development, and construction activities to achieve
the goals of capital improvement projects for national and international
organizations.
He had significant hands on practice in the management of large
facilities during his employment with the University of Michigan as a staff
project architect managing various design professionals, consultants, and
contractors to accomplish the capital improvements of 4,500,000 square feet of
building inventory.
During the early 90’s, Mr. Yu was employed with Herman Miller,
Inc., (a global office furniture systems manufacture) as the sole distribution
representative in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay. He had a broad range of responsibilities
including supporting the international architecture and design community,
assisting U.S. based companies expand into South America, and developing the
entry strategy for the marketing of U.S. made Herman Miller products and services
into the region.
With an entrepreneurial savvy, Mr. Yu founded the architectural firm of SyDesign on December 2001,
and has successfully grown the practice to become the premier firm in the Blue Water area. He credits this attainment to his team and to
his work ethics and philosophy: “The

effort, professional competency, and integrity in business and moral conduct.”
